My Amish Cabinets was born out of the remodeling of my own kitchen. I went down to my local box store and immediately realized that their cabinets were inferior. I was told they sell a upper tier cabinet that can be ordered from a cabinet maker. Through this process I kept thinking “Why don’t they just use the best quality and craftsmanship when building the different features of the cabinet?” When I started pricing custom kitchen cabinets, I realized they were no bargain. In fact I thought they were overpriced. This is how I partnered with an Amish man who builds kitchen cabinets. Menno was just setting up his shop at the time. I asked him about remodeling my kitchen. I designed the kitchen and the specifications of the cabinets and he built them. So, I presented to Menno an idea of me selling his kitchen cabinets to other people looking for custom made cabinets at a good price. From there, My Amish Cabinets was formed, offering quality materials and craftsmanship that lasts a lifetime at a reasonable price.
